Sill.

A quiet place for your photos and your words. Locked, hidden, yours.

Sill has no account and no server of ours. What you put in it stays on your phone, behind your passcode, unless you choose to back it up to your own iCloud. The free plan shows a few ads that are chosen without using anything about you, and Sill Plus has none.

What it is

Sill is an iPhone app for LGBTQ+ people: a private place for photos, videos and a journal, including if you're closeted, questioning, or not ready to be out to everyone. Pictures taken in Sill never appear in your Photos app. Everything is encrypted on your phone and opens only with your passcode.

HiddenA neutral name and icon. Hides from screen recording and the app switcher.
Quick to lockSwipe two fingers down, or lay your phone face down.
A decoy passcodeA second passcode opens a separate, ordinary-looking Sill.
Your own backupOptional iCloud backup or sync, scrambled before it leaves your phone.

Honest about its limits

Sill hides a lot, not everything. A screenshot is still saved to Photos, whoever knows your passcode can open it, and iPhone Settings can show that the app is installed. Settings in the app has a page that spells this out.

Sill is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone.
